About the Speakers
Jim Wagner, OTD, CHT, COMT, CSCS
Dr. Wagner is an occupational therapist and Certified Hand Therapist with 30 years of clinical experience in upper-extremity orthopedics. He received his post-professional clinical doctorate from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions with a specialty in hand therapy. Dr. Wagner is credentialed in physical agent modalities, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and is credentialed as a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist. He is currently the team leader of the Guthrie Hand Center and an adjunct professor in an accredited occupational therapy program.
Jim has been involved in competitive powerlifting and bodybuilding for 37 years and has participated in 30 competitions. He has traveled extensively to teach kinesiology taping, cupping, instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobility, orthotic fabrication, manual therapy, and blood-flow restriction training. He is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. His publications include work in the Practice Forum section of the Journal of Hand Therapy and a co-authored chapter in the eighth edition of Occupational Therapy for Physical Dysfunction. He also serves on the ASHT Education Division.
Mike Mueller, OTR, CHT
Mike Mueller is a staff hand therapist at Rothman Orthopaedics in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with more than 30 years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation. He is an occupational therapist, Certified Hand Therapist, and exercise scientist with extensive experience applying the kinetic-chain approach to upper-extremity rehabilitation and performance. His special interests include managing upper-extremity injuries in athletes, and he has worked with athletes from youth through professional levels.
Mike has presented at state, national, and international conferences. He is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists, American Occupational Therapy Association, American College of Sports Medicine, National Strength and Conditioning Association, and American Baseball Biomechanics Society.
